Mladá Boleslav/Geneva, 29 February 2016 – ŠKODA is extending its ScoutLine model range. The new ŠKODA Fabia Combi ScoutLine with its rugged looks celebrates its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show – the second ŠKODA model in the emotive ScoutLine design after the Rapid Spaceback. The ŠKODA ScoutLine family inspires with an eye-catching outdoor design, striking plastic mouldings and distinctive alloys.

ŠKODA Fabia Combi ScoutLine

The third-generation ŠKODA Fabia has been on the market as a hatchback since the end of 2014 and as an estate since the beginning of 2015. Last year, ŠKODA also introduced the expressive model variants: the ŠKODA Fabia Monte Carlo and the ŠKODA Fabia Combi Monte Carlo.

The ŠKODA Fabia Combi is now also available as the ScoutLine variant. Both the front and rear bumpers come with robust plastic attachments in structural matt black. The integrated protective underbody elements are reflex silver. Front fog lights come as standard.

The sides of the car feature plastic mouldings on the door sills and arches in structural matt black. The wing mirror housings are finished in reflex silver. The silver-coloured roof rails round off the rugged outdoor appearance of the ŠKODA Fabia Combi ScoutLine.

There is a choice of 16- or 17-inch alloys (‘Rock’ design for 16-inch, ‘Clubber’ or ‘Camelot’ for 17-inch alloys) for the ŠKODA Fabia Combi ScoutLine. The Fabia Combi’s entire standard colour range is available for the ScoutLine version.

The ŠKODA Fabia Combi’s wide engine range is also available. There are three petrol (55 kW/75 PS, 66 kW/90 PS and 81 kW/110 PS) and three diesel engines (55 kW/75 PS, 66 kW/90 PS and 77 kW/105 PS). All engines comply with EU6 emission standards.

Besides its striking design, the ŠKODA Fabia Combi ScoutLine impresses with all the same advantages, the standard popular small car has to offer. Every variant of the ŠKODA Fabia wows with its expressive and emotive design, practical features, generous amounts of space, outstanding environmental values and top technology.

In addition, the car comes with innovative safety, comfort and infotainment systems that are usually featured in higher vehicle segments and new engine technology with EU6 standard emission values. In terms of connectivity, the ŠKODA Fabia can be paired with smartphones. The generous interior space – including the largest boot capacity within the small car segment – and the high level of functionality with up to 19 practical ‘Simply Clever’ features are all typical of ŠKODA.

The ŠKODA Fabia’s outstanding package has been extraordinarily well-received. In 2015, Fabia deliveries in Europe increased by 20 per cent. Since its model launch in 1999, the ŠKODA Fabia has been a core element of the ŠKODA product range and the Czech manufacturer’s most-sold model after the Octavia and Rapid models. To date, around 3.7 million first- to third-generation ŠKODA Fabias have been delivered to customers worldwide.

ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback ScoutLine

The ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback was ŠKODA’s first hatchback model in the high-volume compact segment. The ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback ScoutLine is a particularly emotive version of the youthful compact car. Characteristics: a rugged outdoor design, striking plastic mouldings, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels and further design features. The Rapid Spaceback ScoutLine has been on sale in selected European markets since the middle of 2015.

Launched in the autumn of 2013 as ŠKODA’s first hatchback model in the compact car segment, the ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback has increased the Czech brand’s model range, positioned between the ŠKODA Fabia and the ŠKODA Octavia. With its dynamic, fresh design and excellent, practical ŠKODA qualities, the ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback appeals increasingly to younger customer groups. In 2014, the manufacturer complemented the range with the sporty ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback Monte Carlo.

The ScoutLine version brings even more emotions into the Rapid model family. At first glance, the model scores points with its rugged outdoor design. The front and rear bumpers have distinctive elements in structural matt black and a reflex silver middle section. On the sides, the body is protected by plastic mouldings on the sills and wheel arches, also in structural matt black.

The ScoutLine package comes either with silver 16-inch alloy wheels in the ‘Rock’ design or 17-inch wheels in the ‘Camelot’ design. The wing mirror housings are reflex silver. The ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback’s entire range of body colours – a total of eleven metallic and five plain colour options – is available, including the distinctive Pistachio Green.

The ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback ScoutLine is on the market with all of the engines that are available for the entry-level model. There is a choice of three petrol (66 kW/90 PS, 81 kW/110 PS and 92 kW/125 PS) as well as two diesel engines (66 kW/90 PS and 85 kW/116 PS). All powertrains comply with EU6 emission standards and all come with Stop-Start technology as well as brake energy recovery as standard.

The ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback was the Czech brand’s first compact car to combine ŠKODA’s excellent and practical qualities with the hatchback shape. This combination has been extremely well-received by customers: since its market launch, as many as 152,600 customers have opted for the ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback (as at 31.01.2016).

In typical ŠKODA style, the Rapid Spaceback offers lots of space, numerous ‘Simply Clever’ features, top-level safety, unique customisable features, low consumption and excellent value for money. With its outstanding amount of space, the ŠKODA Rapid Spaceback is setting the benchmark within the largest European vehicle segment.
